Introducing My Child to Financial Responsiblity

Yes, he is only 8 1/2 years old but I feel the time is right to start talking to him about financial responsibility.

I grew up with only my mother raising me, a brother who couldn't stay out of trouble and another brother who has a severe form of Autism.  She had a lot on her plate and was struggling financially while raising us.

Fast-forward to 2013...looking back on that time in my life, while I was a teenager and even now, I have always struggled with managing my own money.  I can be impulsive with my purchases (the Aries in me) and it's hard for me to stick with a budget and stick to a savings goal.

This is something I do not want for my son and feel that I need to be proactive in guiding him on financial responsibility.  He has many years ahead of him to slowly figure out how to manage his money, but I just want to make sure he has some form of experience so he isn't 'surprised' with the responsibilities that come along with having money, growing up, and having to pay for things on a monthly basis.

So, I have been contemplating for some time how will I go about introducing my son to financial responsibility while making it interesting and "fun".  I did some research and over a few days slowly created 'I-Man's Financial Binder'.  This is an introductory binder on teaching him about financial responsibilities.
Here is the cover page:

It was created in Publisher...nothing special.  Just something to get the ball rolling.  Following will be pictures of what the inside of the binder will contain as well as the PDF file..Enjoy!
